To paraphrase her comment, GABBY wants..."to help others"!
In a nutshell she said what the holidays should mean
to and for everyone - to help others.
All special occasions/holidays should be spent thinking of others first
before thinking of ourselves.
Our goal should be always to be givers instead of takers.
Good karma put out into the world
will ensure we are always positively paid back in some form.
Good begets good - bad begets bad (evil begets evil).
I prefer the good - we all should.

Aurora, like I told Betty yesterday in her b-day post, we five (Betty, you, Josie, Eva and I) really and truly are lucky to be sisters - also glad that you are one of "us".
Sisters really are great, how fortunate we are - not only to be one but to have one - four. Be proud!
Those who never had a sis, do not realize what they are missing.
Sisters really will always have your back during the good and bad times.
A sister is having a good friend who will NEVER forsake you
or never judge you. She accepts you for whom you are.
(Again - that is truly what a sister means in 'our family').
We are all extremely lucky to be a part of this family.
Even as we continue to be very vocal & stubborn (lol) through-out the years and act out our individualism, we remain mindful of one another and remember that we love each other. We all have a little more in common than not and that bonds our family tighter.
Our family is terrific and truly blessed!

A special note to Aurora from me:
"Thanks so much for the times you helped out with Mom - for getting her where she needed to go especially to her appts (Midland). For the times you put others before yourself. For the times you helped out a little more financially so that others did not need to worry about their share! For always bringing your food specialties to family gatherings because we really do look forward to them. For being a great 'big sis'...for reminding us when we needed to chill or not getting mad at us when we did the same for you. And mainly for having had my back in my younger years and even now. For the way you accepted me for whom I was and doing the same for my friends and my significant other! You rock!"
