HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME (DORA)!!!
- I had an awesome birthday dinner party -
Although not all my family was present, not their fault - it was mainly because my birthday fell in the middle of the week on a Wednesday - but I (we) missed them all and wished it could have been different. Plus, $$$ was not running too smoothly or readily this year on my special day so things were limited - severely limited to say the least. Plus, I chose not to make it a big deal as well because of work schedules and the fact that the majority of my family lives in Big Spring and I hated to inconvenience any or all of them by driving to Midland or to make any of them feel badly if they could not make it. Of course I wanted to spare my own feelings as well just in case - for obvious reasons. Usually our family celebrates the kid's b-days so sometimes it is best to not make a big deal out of one's self and one's b-day if he/she is an adult and such and just let the kids have their day. Not that I totally agree because all b-days (adults as well) should be a big deal and celebrated thustly, but such as life, in my family that is. C'est la vie!
Besides, my 45th is coming up and Lord willing, I will want to have all my loved ones come together for a probable party next year.
