Mother's Day 2009

We spent the day over in Big Spring at Mom's house as we usually do each year. The "usual suspects" were in attendence minus the "usual missing persons". All was good needless to say. Nick bar-b-qued some stuff with Erica lending a hand. Sara and I took over a lot of ribs and chicken that we had left over from her party on Saturday following her graduation. All the food was good. Aurora made her wonderful potatoe salad and Josie took dessert; a big sheet cake version of strawberry shortcake. All us daughters bought Mom some gifts. Sara and I also went a bit further and picked out some gifts for my sisters as well "just because". Everyone stayed through-out the entire day and we laughed and joked and just had fun. We hung out in the screened in patio in the backyard while the bar-b-que was being made and ended up in the front yard after we ate and stuff. Several of my sisters gave Mom plants so they planted them later in the day, thus, we ended up in the front lawn.
