That my voice will be heard.
That my vote will be counted.
That I may bitch and complain when things are going wrong in this country.
That I may be loud, proud and brag when things are going well in this country.
That no one can deny me my constitutional rights.
That if I can partake of daily, menial things in life, I can vote.
That I will honor those whom came before me whom struggled for me to have my right to vote by voting.
That I will honor my ancestors whom were denied the right to vote, the right to a voice by voting now.
That I serve as a role-model for the younger generation so that they will always partake in voting.
That I may continue a tradition, a legacy, within my own family and race that will be passed down to future generations to vote.
That I refuse to be in the group that is considered uncaring of government issues.
That I will not be included in the group long-thought to be "the ones who don't vote". I refuse inclusion into that kind of thinking. It does no good, helps no one and just keeps them down.
That I will indeed be part of the group of voters who helped out-number the usual voter who usually votes in the crazy politicians, the ones who have no interest in what others not like him think or believe. For he is white, rich, educated, and wants to keep others unlike him down. By voting, I deny him the right to keep me down. And mostly I deny him the right to keep others unlike him, who are unable to vote through no fault of their own, down.
