Consuelo, 68, of La Marque, formerly of Big Spring, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Myers & Smith Chapel. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park. She is survived by two sons, David Hernandez (Anita) and Daniel Hernandez; four brothers; three sisters; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Note to the Hernandez family on behalf of our entire family (Dominguez): Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of "Chelo"; she was a very lovely lady. As the adage goes..."a lady always knows when to leave". That is but a mere saying, but if any lady was to prove it true, it would certainly be Chelo. Although quiet she was always friendly and so welcoming. She always put others before herself; she helped many people and brought joy to everyone whom knew her. I feel certain she found true peace and rest in the last days of her life. She has been reunited with her Maker; that is beautiful, and I hope her loved ones find comfort in their own time, in their own way. Words are but only semantics in the loss of a loved one, especially when the loss is that of a mother, but we offer whatever we can in trying to help comfort the surviving loved ones; God's blessings to you all.
