Kids Korner: Gabby's Day At The Races: Track and Field Day 2014!

Local fourth and fifth grade students, from a few elementary schools in Midland,

 took part in "field day" on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at 9 AM at Lee High School.

Alex, Josie, and I attended the events together.

We were able to see Gabby before and after her events, and

we also got to hang out with Veronica (Gabby's proud mom).

It was a hot, sunny day, but we all had such a good time.

It is always good to hang out with family and support one another.

(Vid above):  Gabby running the third leg of the 4 X 100m relay. 

Her school, Pease Magnet Elementary School, finished 2nd in the event. 

Gabby also placed 2nd in the 200m race...no pix right now.
