DORA'S CORNER: NOPE, I DIDN'T FORGET THE "SPECIAL DAYS"...JUST BEEN BUSY!

NOTE TO ALL:
If I did not post an event (b-day, anniversary, accomplishment, etc.) of yours on this family blog, please do not think that I forgot it.  I have been really busy (you all know how that goes), and mostly I have been mindful to stay away from the computer because this gal does not know how to logon for a mere couple of minutes.  Usually my definition of connecting to the "www" consists of hours -- not minutes (LOL) which I currently cannot spare (hours) if I am to finish this home project.
...So please be patient with me as I continue with our home reno and gradually come back to the land of social-media and blogging and such.  In the meantime...good tidings and many blessings to us all especially during our special occasions.  Hopefully this task of mine (home reno) will come to successful fruition and allow me to once again put more time and effort into our family blog and such.  Oh, crap, wait...I start college next month...so no promises, guys.  J.K.
BTW...
If you sent me pix or stories that you wanted me to share on this blog,
and I have not posted it yet,
please resend so that I can post, and accept my apologies for overlooking certain tasks.

TEXAS TRASH OFF 2014:THE "REMEMBERING PHILIP" MAKE-UP EVENT IS A HUGE SUCCESS!

THANKS TO ALL WHOM PARTICIPATED IN THIS FUN EVENT!
Not many were able to attend...I believe that we ended up with 7 participants;
Eva, Felicia, Alex, Josie, Jabier, Sara and I were the lucky ones.
Above (L2R): Alex, Dora, Josie, Javier, Eva and Felicia...Thx to Sara for taking our pix.
********************************************************
Between the seven of us --we split up in groups of three --
and we managed to clean the two-mile stretch of road in record time.
Actually it is two miles north and two miles south for a grand total of four miles.
The morning was wonderful...not too hot...there was a perfect amount
of a slight, cool breeze (a little overcast) to keep us going.
We found lots of weird objects...ask me what they were.
We went to eat at "Mickey Ds"...it was my treat in appreciation of all attendees who
showed up for this magnificent and important family event.
The Puentes (Ava, Erica and Nick) met us to eat breakfast then we all went to the mall
and visited with our sis (Betty) at Blum's Jewelers.
Thanks, sis, for the assistance with some of our watches.
We spent the better part of the day visiting with one another following the
early morning AAH clean-up event.

Philip's birthday is special to us all.
Our family takes part in the
Texas Adopt-A-Hwy program
in Philip's memory.

Philip's birthday is June 13th (1980).
He would have been 34 years old this year.
He was such a wonderful human being; generous,hard-working, compassionate, considerate, helpful, kind, fun, loving, intelligent,
and might I add that he was so handsome.
No, I am not biased, just simply and sincerely honest.
Philip was dear to our family.
