KIDS KORNER: FIRE DEPT of BIG SPRING: Ayden and Ari Get a Special Invitation!

Ayden and Ari get a special invite to check out the firetruck!

My sis Aurora and her family were out shopping at a local store in Big Spring when this fireman (pic above) walked in, and Ayden said: "Hey, you were at my school!" 

to which the firefighter replied: "Yep, you want to see the truck ?" 

and our Ayden of course said: "Yes!" 

The nice fireman told him to ask if it was ok, so he asked Michelle, and got the ok.

Ayden and Ari walked to truck with the nice gentleman.

ALL ABOUT AVA: GIRLS DAY OUT! IT WAS SHORT, BUT SWEET!

It was a nice day.

Eva, Felicia, Erica, and Ava drove in from Big Spring to do some shopping.

Josie and I were lucky to get in on some of the fun that day.

Happy to have enjoyed lunch and a shopping trip at our fave Targeé.

While at Target, Josie and I took Ava and we tore away from the others.

 Yep, we selfishly, but not shamefully, had Ava all to ourselves.

Aside from taking Ava for a Nascar-like drive in the shopping cart 

through-out the store (j.k. - or not), we took Ava to scope out

the latest costume trends at the Halloween section.

All in fun as our lil' Ava is not keen on seeing scary masks and such, 

and she will let you know right away: "NO, MONSTER!"

during our romp at Target trying on different Halloween costumes.

In Memory of MAMA: On What Should Have Been Your 80th Birthday!

Mama, today you are in my thoughts as I remember you on your day of birth.  I miss you more today than when you passed away.  The thousands of "whys" still unanswered; doubtful that they will ever be.  Many say that "heaven needed an angel so G-d took your mom!" -- 'til this day I dwell with unrest at comments such as those because they provide little to no comfort.  Simply, Mama, I would prefer to have you here with us all.  With you enjoying your good life -- in good-health -- and getting to see all the things we have accomplished since you went away.  I really am not asking too much, at least I do not believe that I am. 

Wherever you are (and whomever you are with), Mama, please know that we are ALL thinking of you today!  Though the pain is still much too great and the tears are many, we rejoice in knowing you are no longer hurting, worrying, or having to deal with issues of any kind.  Only a few really know how I am feeling today as I think of you on what should have been a "milestone" birthday for you.  The few I speak of shared you with me, and we all called you "Mama"!  We will see one another soon, Mama. 

WE LOVE YOU FOREVER,

AND WE HONOR AND REMEMBER YOU
