Despite our family (10 of us) having been met with a bit of indignation by some of the wait staff at the so-called "scrooge cafe" (a.k.a Herman's Restaurant), we all managed to have a great time. Not even the ole coot who made the "Mexican" comment ruined our lunch! IMO, if a restaurant wishes to make money, they need to cater (pardon the pun) to their clientele no matter how many are in the party! I applaud our actual waitress who made light of her co-workers "bad-ittude" and had us in stitches with her humor...kudos to her! THX!
Anyway...like I stated we had a nice time...lots of laughter as always. We thought about Mama and shared some of the fondest memories we had of her. Each one different but comical and endearing. Marivel had a b-day today as well and we celebrated it a bit. The BSISD cancelled school for today so that is why some of the kiddos were able to join us. Some of us went back to Mama's home and then to "Wally World"...all was well and we ended our day on an excellent note. For those who could not join us today, we thought of each of you and indeed missed you. Next time we meet for a family lunch or dinner we are shooting for Midland. More data as we try to plan it out to accommodate the majority.
I would personally like to thank my sisters for all they have done during these trying times. Each one bringing something to the table, per se, in trying to make things more manageable. Each one contributing money, time, advice, compassion - you each know what you have done and I THANK YOU! Thanks as well to my nieces and nephews who have also contributed in their own way and especially for the way they have taken care of each of my sisters. Moms are awesome and we need to treat them as such while we still have them. Mama is proud of us all I just know it. I look forward to our next get together.

I am sure all of us look forward to it as well!
